Ann Ferguson, 1827 *Adaptation

$22.00

Ann’s sampler include text at the top worked over both 1 and 2 threads. Not all of us enjoy stitching text, so I’ve created this version of her beautiful sampler without the text. Everything is an exact reproduction of the bottom two thirds of the sampler, simply missing the top third of text. Thread colors for AvS d’Alger and DMC stranded cotton are included.

If you would like to stitch the entire reproduction, then look for “Ann Ferguson, 1827 Reproduction”.

This sampler is has on it a beautiful example of of what is now known as a “Solomon’s Porch”. Extensive and ongoing research by three members of the Sampler Guild in the United Kingdom can be found here.
