Now that the new school year has begun, I’m thinking ahead to planning things on weekends and during school holidays. Like many of you, I have a calendar where I attempt to keep track of appointments, parent evenings, school concerts, the fall festival and, of course, any stitching events I want to attend.
Yesterday evening I added a new event to my own calendar: my dear, sweet husband booked flights and a hotel room for us to go to Dublin for the Knitting and Stitching show November 3 and 4, 2012! It’s his way of saying “Congratulations”! Aren’t I lucky?!
There are a few new events on the fall calendar, including two courses offered by Heart of Embroidery in Rugby, UK. I’m sure there are more that I don’t know about so if you have a moment, please use the contact page under the “Events” title at the top right side of the home page to inform me of anything you think we would enjoy!
Good for you! Mine’s taking me to Harrogate 3 weeks later.
Hi Elizabeth,
We wanted to go to Haarrogate but there weren’t any flights using our miles available. I’ve never been to Harrogate and I’d love to see it someday. Have a great time…and try not to blow the budget!
Liebe Grusse,
Kathy
And here was I thinking that you’d chosen Ireland for variety – i.e. you often come to the UK.
Manchester, Leeds or even Newcastle airports are probably the closest, but you’d still need to travel a bit. Try again next year, maybe??
Budget? I’m not even thinking about it yet! I’ll be saving my pocket money and, I daresay, doing some e-bay sales shortly beforehand to boost my funds. I won’t buy a lot though as I really have so much already, but I do want to get lots of ideas and inspiration. Camera and sketchbook will get more use than my debit card, I think!
Yup, you have a great time too and let’s blog about it when we get back.
I’m jealous
